Our Process
We offer a free quotation and consultation service to ensure you understand what is possible for your home renovation project without any commitment. We can offer you our professional advice based on your ideas or you may have a clear vision of what you want and come readily equipped with designs so we can go straight to proposals.
If you need designs, we get in contact with a trusted local architect. We send them a few alternatives inspired by your ideas and liaise with them while they draw up a initial design.
When the drawings are ready, we will give them a sanity check to ensure they are buildable and won’t cause any issues with your requirements (i.e. underfloor heating, or boiler position). Then we will go through the designs with you for approval.
We then quote for the build by forming a comprehensive itemised estimate to assistyou with making choices,so you maintain flexibility over how you want to spend your budget. We always try to cover any unforeseen circumstances so that the estimate we give is as accurate as possible.
Once the design is agreed and budget set then we will submit all of the plans to the local council for approval and ensure that get all the relevant permissions before construction commences. We also liaise with building control to ensure that all the building regulations checks are performed at the appropriate time.
We also make sure that all the electrical and gas safe certifications are in place, so you know that all the regulations are taken care of and everything is legal and safe.
The last stage before construction can commence is drawing up a schedule of works. We will work with you to devise the schedule, so you know what to expect and when. Although certain uncontrollable circumstances such as the weather can affect progress, we work hard to complete our projects as efficiently as possible.
This scheduling time is also when you need to make certain design decisions for fixtures and fitting as this can influence where walls need to be built.
Now we can finally begin construction. So that you can still live in your home alongside our building works, we will use dust covers and even build in temporary walls, if necessary, to separate the construction zone from the rest of your house.
Throughout the construction process, we will always keep open communication with you and keep you updated if there need be any changes along the way.
Finally, we can add all of the finishing touches and details such as flooring, coverings, fixtures and fittings, and decoration. This is when the renovation truly starts to take shape.
There is then one final clean and tidy, so the house is ready to hand back to the client in pristine condition.
